The two main research areas at the Seminar for Statistics are high-dimensional statistics and causal inference.
In our Master’s degree programme you develop statistical thinking, learn to apply methods and gain an overview of the most important statistical models and procedures.
The course is aimed at scientists - especially from the natural and technical sciences - for whom statistical data analysis forms an integral part of their work.
The Seminar for Statistics offers a statistical consulting service as well as software courses.
We warmly welcome our new faculty member, Professor Jonas Peters. He was appointed by the ETH Board in September 2022 and took up his position on 1 April 2023.
Corinne Emmenegger successfully passed her oral doctoral thesis examination entitled: "Statistical machine learning for complex data". Congratulations!
元莉娜Spohn successfully passed her oral doctoral thesis examination entitled: "On missing value imputation and treatment effect estimation on network data". Congratulations!
